Task Scheduler

I'm using WindowsXP Home Edition. The task scheduler will
not run tasks and when a task is created an error message
is generated as follows:

An error has occurred while attempting to set task account
information. The specific error is: 0x8007007a: The data
area passed to a system call is too small.

Can anyone offer assistance to resolve this problem? Your
assistance is greatly appreciated.

Somebody else just asked the same question. May be coincidence but this is rarely reported. Makes me suspect something else is afoot. A recent MS update or virus, or just coincidence.

Why does it get hot at 2am. It's been cool all day (for summer - was in the eighties), and now I'm drenched in sweat. Why, why, why.

David,
Tried both options listed below. First one is for an
installation of IE5.01 over IE4.01. My machine is brand
new running Dell's installation of IE6.0. The registry
key mentioned doesn't exist on my machine.
Second option was to run a .bat file to shut down and
restart services, which it would do but I would never get
a response back from the final echo "You may set the
account information.....", so, no luck there yet.
I did see another article saying to ensure that under the
startup tab of msconfig that there was a check mark next
to mstask.exe. However, that file is not listed there -
is that a clue or is this a different program under XP?

Again I appreciate your help and have also submitted
questions to Dell to tap their resources.
Thanks...Patrick
