Task pane not showing slide layout

In ppt 2003 the task pane won't show the slide layout pictures. The bottons
still work but I can't see what they represent.

Any help much appreciated

I'd start by making sure SP-1 for Office 2003 has been installed. Go to
Help/About to check the version number and then Help/Check for Updates to
install if necessary.

Next I'd try changing Hardware Acceleration. How to set graphics hardware
acceleration back
