Slide Layout task pane: cant see, GUI wacky

Hey folks

We have a system whose Slide Layout task pane seems to be corrupt. Shows
slide boxes, but when selected you cant see any content (slide backgrounds of
thumbnails show as all white). Known issue? Detect and rpair time?

Sorry to ressurect an old post, but I stumbled across this searchign for an
answer. For me, closing Outlook fixed this problem as described in the link
from above. Seems that Outlook and Word don't play well with Powerpoint. Not
really a solution, but a workaround at least. Note that once Powerpoint is
open you can start Outlook again, and as far as I can see everythign will
work as intended, at least until you open Powerpoint next time.

Hope this helps some of you out.

Thanks for the input, PT. I suspect there's an add-in that's invoked by
Outlook or Word that conflicts with PPT.
