Slide Layout thumbnail Images not appearing in the Task Pane

The thumbnail images that should be displayed in the slide layouts panel are
no longer displayed in the right hand Slide Layout Task Panel. If I roll my
mouse over the task pane its displays the Alt text eg Title Slide but no
actual image of the slide as it will look appears. It makes it difficult
selecting new layouts for my presentations when I can't see the visual of
what the slide will look like

Thank you very much in advance for your time in assisting me with this
problem.

Thank you for the information. I powered down and logged on again to PP and
the thumbnails came back - hopefully to stay .
