| I have Win 2000 laptop which keeps getting svchost.exe
| errors. Box pops up saying svchost.exe has generated
| errors and current application needs to be restarted.
| generally this is while on internet or using e-mail.

Ok but this is on a laptop which had just been reformatted
with the recovery discs...

But did you connect to internet prior to winupdate, activating firewall,
activating AV
I have seen numerous sys become infected within 30secs of making a
connection
