Svchost.exe errors

Hi to all,
Error message called"Svchost.exe has generated errors and
restart the applications" is occured sometimes when
windows is booted and sometimes when i make a dial up
connection. and after that i cannot discoonect the dial
up. i have to restart the computer. can anybody please
help me

Probaly it is down to a virus. Pls check within Task
manager (ctrl+alt+del) for any suspicious Processes; there
could be a process called Mslaugh.exe, wich for example is
created by Lovesan virus. Further check within
www.symantec.com or any other antivirus devloper how to
manualy edit registry keys and remove automatic virus
execution upon startup.

After reading this post, My AV software reported stopping an invection of the Blaster worm. Checking the documentation on the worm I discovered that the "D" varient was intended to be a worm that repaired the dammage caused by the other varients but did not work

If you do a files and folders search and find copies of the DLLHOST.EXE and SVCHOST.exe in the .../.../wins folder you've got the virus. On my machine it is - WINNT/System32/Wins, and mine is empty

I had to download two files to preform the Blaster clean, the actual clean tool and a patch, the patch is covered in MS03-026 report
