svchost.exe has generated error

Recently I started having a program error show up while on-
line "svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed
by Windows. You will need to restart the program." After
this occurs I can still browse but not properly. I can
reboot my system and dial back in only to have this happen
again, and again, .....
I have completly reformatted the HD and reinstalled W2k
but the problem persists. HELP

You could have the blaster worm......
Even after the reinstall you may have been infected the first time you went
on-line.

I got infected while I was going online for the very first time to download
an antivirus program! But it can be fixed. If you know someone with a
clean PC they can download the Blaster and Welchia fix from the Symantec
site and put them on a floppy for you. They can also download and floppy
the patch for Win2K that prevents you getting the virus.
