SP2 Issue with NAV 2004 Live Update

Akhil

Hi,

Since installing SP2, live update is not updating NAV
2004 for me. It comes up with error lu1803:

LU1803: LiveUpdate had an internal error while getting
your updates. Your Symantec programs were not updated.
You should try getting updates at a later time. If
LiveUpdate fails again with this error, you should
reinstall LiveUpdate."

Any ideas?

Thanks
Akhil

Tried this before. No Luch though

I heard NAV 2005 was out? Is this true

And also heard that Horton will bring out a SP2 patch?

Yes. Have you been to www.symantec.com?

I had a similar issue with Norton System Works 2002. After a few
uninstall/re-installs, I finally had to obtain a newer version of the live
update program directly from Symantec. Check their web site for the latest
version.

Also, after you install it, check that all your Norton products are listed
in the live update screen. If not, then check back with Symantec on how to
"register" them. I do not mean how to fill out an on-line form, but how to
make the PC know that they exist for the purpose of live update. As I
recall, it took me a while to do it, since each product had to be treated
differently. Still, the instructions from Symantec were easy to follow.

Just go to the Symantec website...the fix is there, but is not available for
Liveupdate because it only affects a very few machines.
