Just now getting an error message while trying to log on
to my XP. Running W XP home version. The message tells me
that I am missing a file named shdocvw.dll and the
computer goes no further than that. How do I get the file
back in?

Thanks

The file should be in your C:\windows\system32 folder, a
back up is available (hopefully) in your
C:\windows\system32\dllcache folder so you will need to
start your system in a dos mode and copy /paste the file
manually, BUT it is probably a virus attack that has
deleated or corrupted the file anyway.....
