Setup is unable to register tasks??

Ive tried and tried to install Microsoft Works Suite 2001 to my computer... I
ve tried uninstalling it every way under the sun from the uninstall icon in
the control panel to the "uninstall" option on the disk its self and I cant
get it to run the uninstall program so it will INSTALL without the error
message above shutting me down. Every time I try to install the program I get
the above message and it stops the program good grief whats going on
here??? I never had any trouble from this program before... is there anyone
out there that can help me?? thanks Grant
