I tried uninstalling program without success. using windows Vista home

If you mean you want to remove the icon from the uninstall list without
actually uninstalling the program, the registry key is
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall]

CCleaner can do it easier.

Well tried several of these suggestions. Was not able to find the right key?
Probably because I went to the registry before receiving proper
instructions. Anyway going to wipe drive and bring back original image that
I was working on an then proceed cautiously with all advise listed under my
question in this group. I will post back the outcome for others to see.
Thanks to all for inputs!

Was able to use cc cleaner and remove from list by renaming and searching
registry for same name and deleting it. Tried installing program (Logitech
QuickCam 5000 software) and got error 1327 invalid drive/M? This is my
original problem that I didn't mention! I appreciate all help and hope you
will have patience with my communication skills? Tepid has a valid point!
Thanks Tepid and I hope you have more info to help me? Tried re installing
but have know idea where to get the same version update?

Thanks for advise! I did just that after several attempts to fix through
registry. It wasn't a total loss though. I learned a lot about registry and
am happy to have people like yourself who have knowledge to share. I will
keep experimenting and learning because this is my safe place ! Thanks to
all you that had input into my challenge. I will keep trying to solve
these types of issues and hope to share the resolution if I figure it out?
