SAVE TARGET AS IE6 OR7

I have lost the function to SAVE TARGET AS all of a sudden, everything is set
up and no changes have been made. The button is NOT greyed out. The other
functions on right click still work OK .I have tried rolling computer back
also have run SCANNOW. i am trying to avoid doing a XP repair but i am
beginning to think this is the only option. I have seen somewhere that you
can change a file in the register from a 1 to 0 which kids the system to
think that IE6 is not loaded and then you can reload it. Can you confirm this
is possible as the rest of IE6 is working OK.Any other ideas i am willing to
try.
