save dialogue options not available to save image

normally one can save an image by clicking on it and the
save dialogue box pop open allowing you to choose the file
fromat.. a gif bmp or jpg...when I attempt to save an
image file while in explorer the only option Im given is
to save as a BMP...even thought the image is a gif..this
only happens on my new computer..how can I increase the
options available in the save as box to include gif and jpg

You may need to clear your TIF as you may have a corrupt file there.

Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab
Click the "Delete Files" button, when prompted place a check in:
"Delete all offline content", click OK
Click the "Clear History" button, click OK.
Click the Settings button, adjust the TIF size to 50 mb, click OK
