Remote Storage Engine hung on starting

Help!
Every time I reboot or restart, I get two error messages
as follows:


Message 1:
SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER: At least one service or driver
failed during system startup. Use event viewer to examine
the event log for details.After starting, the service hung
in a start-pending state.

Message 2:
CManager window message: Application Fatal Error: Unable
to connect to the CCD process.

Upon viewing the Event Viewer, the following message is
found:
The Remote Storage Engine service depends on the Remote
Storage File service which failed to start because of the
following error: After starting, the service hung in a
start-pending state.

Can anyone advise me what to do to fix this recurrent
problem every time I reboot my system?
