Since installing some updates, I've started getting an error popup
whenever I open services.msc:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 31
Char: 12
Error: Object doesn't support this method or property
Code: 0
URL: res://c:\windows\system32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htm

It seems to be caused by the HTML rendering engine, version 905915.
Anyone got any ideas how to fix this (aside from not updating the HTML
Rendering Engine?)

Heidi,
could you make a test by creating the following key:
HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\CLSID","",0x00000000,"{0000031A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}"

That patch was originally from Dec 22, 2005 and cause that problem for
me aswell. They reissued that patch again in Feb 07, 2006 and that
fixed it for me. I have had a few patches that caused problems in the
past. Just make sure you have all patches up to date!

Odd. I only downloaded them a couple of weeks ago...

I'll try that. I'll just have to fish out a disk with a broken install on.

I have a key
HKLM\software\classes\clsid\{0000031A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} which
has the default value ClassMoniker

read well, the {0000031A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} is
the default value of clsid\clsid

Ah. There is no clsid/clsid that I could see.

that is why I told you to create the value.
HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\CLSID" with the string value
{0000031A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

Thanks. Yes, that's sorted it. I'll see if I can add it to the component
myself now.
