Problem with 905915 and active-x

I've just had an IP security camera by Axis (if anyone's familar with
it) sprung on me, and to get this set up on a unit I have to install an
app and then connect to the camera with IE and download the MPEG-4 codec
with an activex control. However, while it worked fine on the old build
a tester was using, it didn't work on my newer build. After a lot of
grief and messing about I've found that it's updating the HTML Rendering
Engine from KB896727 to KB905915 that stops this working.
I don't suppose anyone has any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

There seems to be something wrong with KB905915, using a different
version of the HTML rendering engine allows the camera etc to work.

Hi Adora,
I dint get you, Actually I am using this XP Embedded SP2 tool and using this
HTML rendering Engine from this tool itself (Version 5.1.2600.2180)
As you said using differentversion can solve the problem, but how can we do
this.
Do you mean to say that this component is not to be added during the build
and later we have to install it externally. Which patch will help me out.
Or is there any update for the same.

Any version but the 905915 should be fine. I did apply a bucketload of
updates, but had to take them out again as Bad Things happened to some
other parts of the system when I tried using .Net 2

I was using 896727 before, and that one seems fine. I'm currently in the
middle of putting together a build that has that version instead of the
newer one, upgrading an old build so that it's got the other changes I made.

There is a newer version I think, but in applying all the updates, I
broke .net and then corrupted the .slx, so it was easier to go back to
the pre-905915 version.
