Window Defnder Error: 0x800710dd

All i know is that i keep getting error messages. It started with this
"res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htm" - Automatic update, error
message, so i tried to instal windows defender to help me, and then i got
this error message. Window Defnder Error: 0x800710dd. PLEASE HELP ANYWAY YOU
CAN.

What version of Windows?

Please go to Windows Update and do an express scan. See whether WIndows
Defender updates are offered--and install everything that is offered. Did
that succeed?
