I am suddenly having problems with flash.ocx crashing ie6. Nothing in my
system has changed but I do keep xp pro updated regularly. I can't pin down
the problem to a particular point in time.
I did a clean reinstall of xp pro but the problem persists. I have
installed and uninstalled the flash plugin with no improvement. After 1 to
about 10 minutes on a site with flash content (game, animation, etc) IE6
notifies that an error has occured and it must close. Sending a report to
MS and reviewing the "additional information" advises that flash.ocx is the
problem. Lots of other debug information that is not meaningful to me.
MS Knowledge base has not been helpful nor can I find an additional
information at the macromedia site. A google search reveals a few others
with my problem but no explanation or solutions are provided.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
