powerpoint 2002 not upgrading

I just bought an computer with XP and am trying to load
up my 2002 xp upgrade of powerpoint, which worked on my
laptop (with 98), and it's not working - any ideas?

I'm trying to go form PP 95 to the 2002 PP.

I didn't think that PowerPoint 95 was a qualifying product for PowerPoint
2002, but if it worked for you previously then I must be wrong.

Have you installed PowerPoint 95 first? You'll need to do that, or insert
the PowerPoint 95 CD in the drive so that the PowerPoint 2002 upgrade setup
can find a qualifying product. Do you get a message that it can't find a
qualifying product?

I'm with Sonia on that. But if it is a qualifying, you should be given the
opportunity to insert the original 95 disk/cd for verification.
