Popup Blocker

Any help or hints would be appreciated.

I am frustrated trying to identify which software can be blocking popups in
IE 6 under XP. Blocking popups used to be good until my bank displays my
estatements as a popup and something is canceling the popup. (In fact any
site with a popup is squashed.) I have uninstalled google toolbar, adaware,
search & destroy and zonealarm and Fix-it and the popup windows are still
being supressed. How can I find what is blocking my popups?

I've looked in the task list and there is nothing obvious.

thanks

Have anything called zero knowlege?Try these, tools from
IE,internet options,advance tab,restore
defaults, apply,OK.If that don't work download avant
browser FREE from www.download.com type in
avant in the search on that site, download it,push the
button for the popup blocker from the home page, then try
it.It uses IE 6 files to run.If that don't work go to
start---run---type in msconfig---uncheck everything
(disable all)---apply---OK---restart---when it restarts
check don't show me again box,and OK---go into your
antivirus and reset it to default to start at start-
up.also will start-up faster.if it has a popup starting
you don't know about this will turn it off.

requested pop ups should show.it's a scam when they say to
turn off your popup blocker.wow look at all the pop ups
now. did you do a scan with spybot or ad-aware before
uninstall? did you do a virus scan? the google toolbar has
a white list in the pop up blocker.use it for the website.

Check your anti-virus and firewall for options to block popups or scripts.
In Tools | Internet Options | Security make sure scripting is enabled.

How can I find what is blocking my popups?

Have you tried another Browser like Mozilla or Opera?
Maybe you can use these, until you have found a solution.

If you know which links are supposed to open up a pop up that you actually
want, then try holding either the CTRL or SHIFT key while clicking on the
link. This often overrides the blocker properties and allows the new window.

Hope this helps.
