PL vs PLH vs PL/H

P

* ProteanThread *

since the topic has come up frequently, PL has been used to describe
the pricelessware.org and PLH has been used to describe the
pricelesswarehome.org website and it has been generally accepted to
have both sites (brings to mind, one cannot have two masters for he
will love the one and despise the other, etc.) why not use PL/H to
describe both sites in *GENERAL* otherwise useless threads (like this
one) get started about what site is the best and which site is the
official site.

sheesh.

PL denotes the Pricelessware List, not a a particular website.
and PLH has been used to describe the pricelesswarehome.org website

I take strong offence that susan (in her sig) attached acf to *HER*
pricelesswarehome website and not to the official original pricelessware
website. ;-)

True...the only interest of mine in this particular issue is evident from my
initials, which is why I'd tend towards using PWH for pricelesswarehome.org.

Why not just write it out? I'm so sick of acronyms. Writing is
supposed to be the form of communication. All these abbreviations don't
help in getting a message across. They're just for lazy people who
don't want to learn how to spell correctly.

Okay, my rant is over now.

Take a fence, a gate, or the whole paddock/field if you want, weak or
strong. Nobody appointed YOU arbiter of what is "official" and what is
not - and nor are they likely to.

As I recall, there's a limit of 255 characters on the full name before
the first slash. This does not include the protocol name, of course.

Yeah, you're right; there's a 255-character limit on fully qualified
domain names.
