Tried posting messages to a newsgroup. Got this error message:

Windows Mail could not post your message. Subject 'Re: Frequently asked
questions (1/244)', Account: 'news.west.cox.net', Server:
'news.west.cox.net', Protocol: NNTP, Server Response: '441 Posting Failed
(Exceeded Newsgroup CrossPost Limit (4))', Port: 119, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 441, Error Number: 0x800CCCA9

I know what caused the error, but message keeps popping up every time I open
Windows mail. How do I stop it?

Thx

Is the email in your outbox?
If so delete it or move it somewhere else like drafts.
