Opera vs Mozilla browser?

A bit of a warning, it's very RSI-friendly.

Huh? RSI as in hard on the muscles and tendons??? I would have
thought it cuts down on the hand/wrist movements. Or, as might be the
case, you're making a joke and it sailed right over my head (??). <g>

Yeah, it's funny...I use it to *avoid* RSI. But I don't use all the
gestures. Some gestures do seem to require a lot of pressing of the mouse,
and I avoid them. So, just experiment a little and find out what's
comfortable for you.

Well, I've had RSI. Having a hard time tying your own shoelaces isn't funny
anymore. Just repeating what the doc ordered. Don't no if he's right, but I
was adviced not to use mousegestures again and using to the keyboard as much
as possible. It seems to help.

Actually, looks like in one instance it'll be just the thing. I
belong to about 40 yahoo groups these days a few of them graphics
ones. The amount of mail I get each day is pretty tremendous.
Outlook, courtesy of the MVP guys over in the newsgroups, tell me
there's not shortcut on compacting Outlook. Since compacting can make
several megs of difference in size of the pst file (where emails are
stored), I compact several times a day. It involves a bunch of mouse
clicks I'm fed up with! But the MVPs say that there's no VBA code to
make a macro to cut down on this (talk about RSI!! <g>). So gestures
will work, from the sounds of it, for this situation.

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canucks!

I'm guessing that "gestures" might be shortcuts to mouse movements
(????), like hotkeys are to clicking, maybe? I don't think I'm
getting a grasp on this, still, so I thought I'd ask. What exactly
does this program do in terms of examples? How would having this
program benefit anyone? I can't seem to wrap my brain around
visualizing why it's so handy. It sounds like it might be, but a few
examples would help me relate.

OK. In Mozilla, pressing the middle mouse button and up creates a new
tab (an empty browser tab). Pressing middle mouse and moving down-then
right (Make a letter L) closes the current tab. Pressing middle mouse
and moving left goes BACK in your history. I got so used to those (plus
a few more) that I configured Strokeit so that Middle mouse+ down then
right would close ANY open Windows program (or close the current tab if
the program had tabs). Middle mouse plus UP will create a new instance
of hte program (where applicable). Etc. etc.

Kewl. That's what I thought but I wasn't sure. Sounds pretty neat.

Long time ago, I posted that I couldn't access my bank account with
Firebird/fox. I thought it was my bank's fault, and I even
threatened to take my money elsewhere, but it turned out to be
something wrong with my browser profile; it was fixed when I
created a new profile for some unrelated reason.

Tools|Downloads|Options. You can specify some other directory or
have FF prompt you for each file.

You people have made my day with the Tools | Options | Downloads
tip and have it prompt you where to save the file!

This means I won't be tempted to use IE as a browser again.
