Opening Apps in Browser Window

I have IE 6.0sp1 and browse to an internal company site
that contains .ppt files. The issue is that I can not open
the .ppt in the browser window. It timeouts with page can
not be found. However, my co-worker can open these files
without any problems. We both are running WINNT. I have
mirrored his Internet Options settings and still no good.
Any suggestions?

Jim,
Try...
Start> Settings> Control Panel> Folder Options> File Types> PPT> Advanced>
CHECK "Browse in the same window" and you might have to CHECK "Confirm open
after download" to get the "open or save" dialog so that you can choose
"open."
