One site blocked cant even ping it until reboot

Hi all, weird problem:

One single web site is blocked and I cant get to it!! I cant even ping
the IP of the site. I had zone alarm installed but uninstalled it and
no difference. Sometimes when I clear the cache it seems to work but
this doesnt happen often engouh to be certain.

The only thing that will fix it is a reboot. As soon as I do that, I
get the site right away.

I even added the site to my trusted sites list, even though there is no
reason I can find why it would need that.

Now here's the irony (or maybe a clue): its MY web site! And its on a
server that I run! There's also webmail running on that server and when
it gets blocked I cant get to that either. In other words, all of the
IPs in that computer are blocked. Yet as soon as I reboot, everything
is fine. Im on cable and have a fairly static IP so its not like that
changes when I reboot.

Another clue: I cant connect to ANY service on that machine, like ftp
web, smtp, nothing until after reboot.

Anyone have any ideas at all here?

Win xp, sp2, all updates. ie 6. cable modem, no router, xp firewall on
(now that ZA has been removed), SAV running.

Thanks

Scott

try running tracert from the command line while the problem is occuring to
see the endpoint. maybe there is some kind of routing loop occurring. Is
the server on the same cable system?

OK, good idea. I'll try when it happens again (probably tonight).

No, the server is on a completely different network with a different
ISP many miles away from my house.

Thanks

Scott
