Office XP Pack3

I have Windows XP and I need to install the office xp pack3, but every time
that I attempt to do this, the system ask for a disc??? I don't have any idea
what it wants -this was all pre-installed on my computer when I bought it
from Circuit City. The only disc that they gave me was the T3256 Restore DVD
for emachines. How do I get this update installed on my computer?

The "rules" for updating OEM software, that is software purchased with a PC,
are often different than for plain retail software. In many cases the
software manufacturer washes their hands of all support as part of the price
for selling the software cheaper to the OEM. (But, the OEMs do not
advertise that fact to people buying their PCs.) In most cases support, if
any, must be obtained from the OEM, that is the PC maker. They may have
free patches/updates available via links on a website, or they may charge
for updates, or they may offer zero support. It is their choice.

I doubt that you will find much helpful at the Circuit City website, since
retail stores do not normally support the products they sell, unless it is
defective out of the box, where they might offer a like-for-like return
within 30 days. Read your warrantee. I bet that it says to contact
"emachines" for support. Try their website:

http://www.emachines.com/

Then, try the tab for "customer care". You may need to send them an email,
or try their live chat option.
