Update issue

Following the download of Windows Service Pack3 and the attempt to install
it, I was notified that the installation failed. I looked at my update
history and forn the following message. I am running Windows XP professional
and this is a nes innstallation.

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP (KB950759)

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:

NB: Also applies to clean installs, upgrade installs, and Recovery installs.
