XP OR IE WONT SAVE PASSWORDS AND USER ID ON THE PAGES I VISIT MOR

when i was using IE6 and 7 and upgraded to 8 now i cant save the password
on the sites the i visit more wont save my router password NOW i have to re
write the passwords every time i go back to the page what can i do im
using xp home with service pack3

Check to see if the Protected Storage service is running

START | RUN | Type services.msc & press ENTER

Is the service started?

In IE:

TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS | CONTENT tab

Click the button in the AUTO COMPLETE section & are USER NAMES AND PASSWORDS
ON FORMS & PROMPT ME TO SAVE PASSWORDS both checked?

also if i go back to ie 6 it works again
