OE French Dictionary Help Required

Wor Tony

I'm using version 6.00.2800.1123 of Outlook Express. The dictionary appears
to be set to French. I've tried to set it back to UK using Tools, Options,
Spelling but it keeps switching back to French (it's just picked all of
these words up as they are not French!). My regional settings are set to
UK/English.

Can anyone help?

Hi Wor Tony,

Review the keyboard configuration, substitute LANGUAGE for the
language you want to set:

1. Control Panel - Regional and Language Settings - Regional Options -
Standards and Format - LANGUAGE

2. Control Panel _ Regional and language Settings - Languages -
Details - Predetermined language of the input device - LANGUAGE.

3. Control Panel - Regional and language settings - Advanced Options -
Language for programs not Unicode - LANGUAGE

4. Control Panel - Regional and language Settings - Languagees -
Details - Configuration - Installed services - Add - Language and
distribution of the keyboard.

3. Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options - General- Languages -
Add - LANGUAGE (this setting is important for the use of Windows
Updsate, because it will be shown in the language configured here)

Hope this helps.

Wor Tony,

OE doesn't have its own spell checker, it uses Word's.
It seems to me that someone has added strange words to the custom
dictionary in Word, and that's why it doesn't detect those words as
false.
