Dictionary/spellcheck

Hi
My Mother-in-law has recently installed XP and is having difficulty getting
the Dictionary or spellchecker (found under
tools/options/spelling/international dictionary) to stay as English (UK) or
English (SA). Does anyone know how to stop the dictionary reverting to
English USA?? We've tried changing applying and okaying.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Under Control Panel, Regional/Language Options, what is the location set to?
Also in theat section, click on the Languages tab and choose Details. What
is the default language set to?
