Exactly...instead of complaining, why don't you build something of
value for others. Do you really think everything in this world should
be free, or at least free from advertising? If so, then kindly show us
another profit model to pay for the expenses of the real world...

In the case of that site, why not cut them some slack, the money to pay

mention, at the end of anyone's site, there is a real person, like you
and I, with bills to pay, mouths to feed, etc...

Getting a NonagsPlus account is an option. I have chosen not to go that
route.

In the case of that site, why not cut them some slack, the money to pay

mention, at the end of anyone's site, there is a real person, like you
and I, with bills to pay, mouths to feed, etc...

Freeware is freeware. It's a matter of principle to me that I won't pay
anything for it, ever. If you've participated in this group long enough,
you should have been able to figure that out. Period.

NoNags is on the way out anyways...insofaras it being a really good source
for Freeware. It has become something else and when my membership is up in
less than a month, I wont be renewing.
Updates are few and far between and there's nothing there that's not
available elsewhere sooner.
While the annual fee is small there is little return for that buck if all
you visit the site for is Freeware. I think over the last year I may have
downloaded 2 or 3 programs from the site.
And then there was that long period of weeks and weeks with no updates at
all and no rebate to the paying customer.

the left to get to the catagories instead of the catagories laid out on
the bottom. I see no ads (but I have FF w/ Adblock) so no worries
here. I see very little ads these days

The link I recommended is simply more direct. On the other hand, it
might be a good idea to have both pages bookmarked because the page at
your link has the "New Downloads" list.

Further to my recent comments, I note that the Funny Pictures section at
NoNags has been updated twice since the last update of the Freeware portion
(Oct 28 2005) with the latter being what NoNags Plus is supposedley all
about so why pay for it...stay with the regular NoNags, the pics are fun.
