I'll quote again:
In the latest beta version, Xnews places the cursor at the top in the
editor. While this does make it easier to snip and inter-post, it
also makes it too convenient to not bother snipping at all and to
simply top post.

In this last sentence, you made 3 statements:

#1 'The cursor at the top makes it easier to snip and inter-post'.
Makes sense. So it would be the cursor at the bottom, not at the top,
which might 'make it too convenient to not bother snipping at all'.
#2 'The cursor at the top makes it too convenient to not snip at all'.
Does not make sense. For the third time:
Show me the arguments that you provided anywhere at all, or that you
did not yet provide, that would back up this statement #2.
And again: statement #2 contradicts statement #1.
So again, make up your mind: which statement is true: #1 or #2?
#3 'The cursor at the top makes it too convenient to simply top post'.
Maybe true for a few people, but not for many or for me. Any way:
Convenient to top post is entirely unrelated to convenient to snip.
It is in no way an argument for or against 'convenient to snip'.
So when I asked to explain your contradictory statements #1 and #2,
that were about convenient to snip, your answer that it makes it too
convenient to top post was not an answer at all.

I have quite enough of your silly insults from the start and your
mindless, childish way of 'reasoning' makes me wanna puke.
So, EOD, for me.

I don't need a spell checker. I don't need my newsreader to do email.
I don't need offline reading capabilities. I don't need...

I'm really bothered that Luu Tran just dropped Xnews like he did without
even releasing the source code. Yes, it was his prerogative to do so, and
if he was tired of endless requests, I can understand; but I feel it was
bad form considering that he knew how many people use it and love it. At
least it's pretty much "complete," as it were.

On another note, I've still got 40tude Dialog installed and I'm using it
beside Xnews. It's quite competent, I should say. (I'm still trying to
figure out how to do the equivalent of Catchup and Purge, though.)
