i have two desktops, both of them are windows xp pro sp2. everything was
workign fine both of them were sharing the drives and printers. suddenlyone
day one of the desktop stoped openingthe drives of the other. there was a
message window and it use to ask for a user name and password. i checked the
ping it was working. comp1 was able to access the comp2. but when we use
comp2 and try to access comp1 it use to ask for the password. there were no
passwords thati gave on any of the comps. i checked the firewall. i chesked
the sharing. enabled and disabled it. every thing was working fine. but still
comp2 was unable to access comp1.

It is recommended to use a password for sharing. You may want to create the
same username and password on both computers. Or this link may help.

Access issuesTroubleshooting "No accessible" ... is not accessible. Message:
"....is not accessible. You may not have permission to use this network
