Steve

I have set up a home network for the first time. Computer
1 has Windows 2000 and computer 2 has '98. Am trying to
set up computer 2 so it can use the printers on computer
1. Following the Linksys instructions....In Local Area
Connection 1 "properties", says I should have the
following:
1)Client for Microsoft Networks.
2)File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
3)Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
4)NetBEUI
5)IPx.SPX
4 & 5 are not present. When I try to install them, they
are not there.
Help please...Thanks

yuo won't need those. just make sure you can see the windows 2000 machine
from the 98. if not then turn on the print and file shareing on both then
browse to it in the network neiborhood. you must right click the properties
on the printer you wanto share and select the sharing for it.

once you have the printer shared and you can see it in the network
places/neiborhood then you can install it.

this is a little simplified but it is about that simple. good luck.
