My Pictures slideshow and two drive dilemma.

Hi all,

I have My Pictures slideshow set as my screensaver and tons of family pics.
Here is the problem: The main drive has now filled up to the point where I
no longer have enough space to carry out defragmenting. I have another drive
in and could move some of the picture folders to this second drive (to free
up space on the primary drive for defragging) but now I guess I wouldn't be
able to see those pics in the screensaver slideshow that I had on this other
drive. The way its set up now everything is random-sampled from years of
pics which for me is great...I get one pic of my youngest at age two and the
next at age 6. Can I have my cake and eat it?
Thanks in advance...any help appreciated!

If you move your image collection to a
folder / sub-folders on a separate hard
drive...you can set that folder as the source
for your screen saver. Just click the Settings
button on the Screen Saver tab and browse
to the correct Drive and Folder.

You can always move your entire My Pictures folder to your second drive if
you have enough space on it.
Just click on My Pictures folder to select it (highlight in blue) and then
look at the menu on the left under File and Folder Tasks and click on Move
and then select your second drive.
Since you enjoy your pictures so much, make sure you have a copy of them on
CD or DVD or on an external drive.

Hello Yves,

Thanks to both yourself and John Inzer for the prompt helpful responses...I
am now looking at both suggestions.... wasn't aware that you could actually
move the My Pictures folder in that manner!!

Regards,
