No pictures found in My Pictures by My Pictures Screensaver

I have about 1,000 pics in my My Pictures folder and the My Pictures
Screensaver is set to the correct folder but it says that there are no
pictures in the foler. If I go directly to the folder the pictures are
displayed correctly. I can see previews of them in the fax and scanner window
and still edit them with Photodraw but the screensaver cannot find them.

They may be saved in an incompatible format
like .mix for example...or it may be worth a try
to reduce the number of images in the folder.

They are all in .jpg format and worked until the recent Windows update to
check for software that could be affected by a .jpg attack. I use the
wallpaper power toy and it continues to work and change my desktop every 30
minutes from the same folder. I was told when I went to Windows Update that
Windows XP with SP-2 was not affected but then this change has occured.

Have you moved the My Documents or My Pictures folder off of the C:
drive? It seems that the screensaver is hard-coded to look on C:\.

I have not seen the specific issue you describe
previously discussed. Maybe some of the settings
in your Security Center need adjusting.

I do move the My Documents folder from Documents and Settings to the C root
and then change the properties of my desktop icon to reflect that I have done
this. The screensaver allows you to browse to the folder that you want to use
and it is listed as C:\My Documents\My Pictures. I have no subfolders in this
folder and my screensaver just moves around saying "There are no pictures
found in the My Pictures folder".
