mouse scroll problem

There's a bunch of messages here about the problem with
the mouse scrolling too far in IE and Outlook Express, as
a result of patch KB824145. Why doesn't MS reply to any
of these messages? All I hear is rumors that they are
aware of the problem, and are fixing it. That's probably
true, but it would be nice to hear that from MS
themselves!

Over at DSLreports security forum we have a Microsoft employee , Jerry
Bryant - Microsoft IT Communities, who posts regularly. He stated today
that Microsoft's engineering team is aware of the issue. He said he
currently has no status on the fix but that a bug has been entered.

It's still disturbing that this bug has been reported so many times with absolutely no *official*
response. Usually a fix-in-progress merits an informational knowledge base article. I'm guessing
that things are a bit hectic in the patch release department, because of the large number of
security patches they've had to release -- and the frequency with which they've gone wrong.
