More Install problems

After I download Defender 2 from microsofts website, I select run and a
prompt tells me that the publisher cannot be verified or unknown publisher
and does not allow me to install it....When I go to my download files and try
to run it manually from its download location it installs to about 85% and
then says

"The cabnet file Product.cab is corrupt and cannot be used, this could
indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-Rom, or a problem with
this package.

Hello Bladewing51,

Whatever you do, (installing and updateting or unistalling) always as a
administrator.

Delete WD. Go to Add/Remove programs and Deleted

D/L and install Windows Installer 3.1 v2 (3.1.4000.2435) is available

Run clean up and tune up

Look for the broom Clean up, also Tune Up..

I'd recommend re-downloading, and saving to a known location--like the
desktop.
After the download is complete, disable real-time protection by your
antivirus for long enough to do the installation.

Nope it didn't help at all, I'm up to date on everything, I'm running a
2.53Ghz P4, with 1GB mem, a 250 and 40GB hard drives. Have you guys checked
the version of the program you have available to download?

Ok I just tried it again a day later and used the link that you supplied and
it has seemed to work and install ok, maybe it was just a fluke.
