Missing messages and calendar items also - Outlook 2007

Sabo, Eric

We are running Outlook 2007 ( some end users are running in cache and some
are in non-cache mode) , all users mailboxes resides on a Exchange 2007
server. End users are saying that message and calendar items are there and
then they disappeared. I actually track one message that was definitely
delivered onto the store but the message never was in the user's mailbox
from outlook 2007. But the message did show up in the search folders
under "Large Mail".

Outlook.exe 12.0.6023.5000 version.

Thanks in advance,
Eric Sabo

Why not all in cached mode?

If it's showing up in Large Mail, note that it *has* to be in the mailbox.
Large Mail is a search folder....it's searching the mailbox. So, the issue
is to find the folder it's in....make sure you view all the columns in there
& you'll see the folder name where the message resides. Make sure your view
isn't filtered in the Inbox (or whatever folder it is).

Some users don't want to use outlook in cache mode.

Is there a problem with running not in cache mode? I think only one user
that is having the current problem is not in cache mode, the rest are in
cache mode.

And.....why do users get to decide this? ;-)

Junk email filtering & network performance come to mind.

But what about the missing mail? Did you find it?
