Lycos side search problem

Cleaned out registry of Lycos/ uninstalled the program files and
deleted anything left over that I can locate, for the exception of
the DLL which I moved to the desktop in an attempt to delete
from that point.

No luck. And to boot the taskbar still shows the Lycos search the web.

Any assist would be most appreciated

lycos likes spyware and adware, use spybot 1.3 and
adaware 6 see what they can do. hijackthis but becareful
of it. or try to delete in safe mode.
