lost applications when re installing win2000prof Help!

I already had 2000 professional on my computer but had
lost my outlook program. I had my mom send me my disk but
instead of sending office 2000 she sent windows 2000
professional.

Now I can't open any of my MS Office 2000 applications and
unfortunately I don't have the disc to re-install. I
called a repair place and they said that I would have to
change my settings...but they would charge $150 per hour
(the benefits of living in NYC). All my files still show
up but when I try to open a document i.e. word , it asks
for me to install the disc

Is there a way I can fix this without a disc or reverse my
errors?

If possible, keep it simple since obviously I am not a
technical genius....

Thanks from the technically challenged

Depends on what you did when you reinstalled. If you chose to install in the
\winnt directory, then you overwrote the windows directory and the registry
in which case you'll need to reinstall your applications.
