Link bar seen in preview but does not show when published

I have a link bar on my site which includes a "back" and "next" button. The
buttons show up when I preview the site, but when it is published, they
aren't there. I have about 40 pages and the bar is invisible on all of them.
Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!

The URL is www.sistergoods.com/index.htm

Thanks

Steve,

No, I haven't figured out how to fix it yet. I just checked and it's still
not showing. Are you sure you were looking at the right URL? Note that it is
www.sistergoods.com/index.htm not h-t-m-l. The problem is on the white page,
not the lavendar colored one. Hope this helps.

Thanks

OK sorry I did look at the .html being the default.

Yes, on the .htm no such link bar shows up in either IE or FF.

I notice that the other to blocks of text hyperlinks [bottom and left of
page] do not appear to have been generated by a FP Links Bar facility - but
manually???

Anyway, presuming you have FP extensions installed on your server [which you
must have in order to publish via FP - unless you use ftp], I can only
suggest you look at how you have laid out your navigation view of the pages.

A Forward/Back or Previous/ Next type links bar requires your pages to be on
the same level - try checking this.

Your problems is your host requires index.html as a home page file name and you have index.htm as your local home page file name (so
you end up w/ 2 "home" pages)
Rename your local home page from index.htm to index.html and run a tool recalculate hyperlinks, then republish

PS
Why are you making your pages so big with the outer table set to
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="862" height="2695">

Re the index.htm vs the index.html files, I did realize that I had two home
pages set up, but I didn't realize that was causing the problem with my link
bars. I was re-doing my site with a different software and I didn't want to
take the old one down until I was sure the new one would work properly. I'll
try renaming the new home page "html" and see if that works. Thanks for the
help!

Re your question about the size of my pages......do you mean that my page is
too big width-wise or length-wise? I don't know a lot about cell spacing,
table borders, etc. and whatever it ended up at was probably by accident. Do
you foresee any problems resulting from this and how can I fix it?

Thanks so much.

Just remove the table width and especially the height

I need to go back to the link bar question for just a minute........I renamed
the home page and all other pages "html" instead of "htm" and I recalculated
the hyperlinks and republished, but the back/next link bar at the bottom
still doesn't show when published but shows in preview. Do you have any other
suggestions?

Thanks

The link bar (back/next) should appear just above the "view cart" button.
There should be one link bar (back/next) linking the following pages:
index.html, jewelrysets.html, necklaces.html, earrings.html, bracelets.html,
anklets.html, lanyards.html, faqs.html (in this order).

There should also be one link bar (back/next) just above the "view cart"
button which links the following pages: africanjadejewelry.html,
amazonitejewelry.html, blackonyxjewelry.html, bluequartzjewelry.html,
carnelianjewelry.html, coraljewelry.html, dalmatianjasperjewelry.html,
glassjewelry.html, greenaventurinejewelry.html, howlitejewelry.html,
mahoganyobsidianjewelry.html, malachitejewelry.html, moonstonejewelry.html,
motherofpearljewelry.html, mountainjadejewelry.html, pearljewelry.html,
peridotjasperjewelry.html, rainbowfluoritejewelry.html,
redjasperjewelry.html, rhodonitejasperjewelry.html, rosequartzjewelry.html,
serpentinejewelry.html, swarovskicrystaljewelry.html, tigereyejewelry.html,
turquoisejewelry.html, unakitejewelry.html (in this order).

Thanks again for your help.

Just thought I'd add a little more info about this problem. I have had
several conversations with my web host today and they suggested reinstalling
fp extensions and re-uploading (didn't work), also recalculating hyperlinks &
republishing (didn't work), also deleting the link bars and doing them over,
then republishing (didn't work). Now they say that any problem on the server
end would have been fixed by the above steps. They also said that they don't
show this component installed on any of the pages when they right click on
the page and search for the terms "back or next." They said that the problem
is most likely a software problem such as the script being corrupt or
something of this nature.

Maybe this additional info is helpful to anybody out there with suggestions?

I don't see the webot code for the nav bar anywhere near the code <!-- End PayPal Logo -->

Are all those pages in nav view at the same level
- obviously on your home page you will never see anything because there can never be other pages at the same level in nav view as
index.html (your home page is above the other pages)
