Navigation Bar Problem

G

Guest

I attempted to change the "Global Navigation Buttons" in FP 2003. Then I
published my site. The Global bar does not load the default images. The
link text is there but no the button image. In FP 2003 they display fine in
page view, preview, and in web preview. I have re-published and it has not
changed anything on the remote site.

Any help will be appreciated.

Are you publishing to a server that has the FP2002 extensions via http?

Yes, I have a windows hosting plan. I used the remote view in front page to
publish direct to my web site. I have published it to two different domains
on the same server. One works fine the other does not.

Do both servers have the FP 2002 SE
(required if you are using custom nav bar styles / themes for your buttons)

Yes, front page extenstions are working on both domains. I have a contact us
on each one and they both work. My problem seems to be related to a direved
..gif file in the .com file. The .net file works fine. I cannot figure out
how to get to the derived gif. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks for you suggestion. I will check with my host provider and be sure.

My frustration level is rather high at the moment. I am ready to delet
everything on my server domain www.makecentswebdesign.com and start over. If
I do this can I mess up the FP extenstion that on the shared hosting server?
Are there certain files I should not delete?

I plan to just reload my template and start over again. I do have a copy of
my content and modifications so far.

You can not mess up the extensions on the live/remote server if you have the site open in FP, then
delete everything that you can see, with the exception of the images and _private folder, with these
two folders, just delete any content within them.
