LINK BAR DOES NOT APPEAR

Using FP2003. Created a simple website using a purchased template. Intro
page is Swish all 5 subsequent pages are very, very simple. I have never had
any problem using this vendors templates so I know this problem is me not the
vendor or the server etc.

I uploaded the website to a server that has enabled FP extensions and all.
Website worked perfectly for about a week.

Went in to add a page. Saved and published the page. Now suddenly after
the Swish page plays (index.html) and I 'Click here to enter' the first page
(home.htm) has NO link bar.

While in FP if I preview in browser, use the ctrl+click or the preview
feature, the entire website works fine and looks perfect. Once I publish it
some how the first page looks perfect EXCEPT it has no link bar and obviously
this prevents anyone from navigating through the rest of the site.

I spent the entire day yesterday trying to figure this out. Last night I
looked in the overlay folder and was wondering could the problem be in there
somewhere? I am desparate.

All pages are present in the navigation tree. The Swish page has the House
icon on it and the remaining pages are beneath it.

WHAT I HAVE DONE:
1. Searched this site for an answer-- didn't find one.
2. Checked Link Bar properties and changed it to every iteration available.
Same problem. No matter what I change the link bar to, it does not appear
when published. However thinking I might have a duplicate page somehow, I
inserted bogus text and published to see if it would show up. Yes the bogus
text appeared, no interation of the link bar appeared.
3. I have deleted the home and index pages from my remote site and
republished them. Same problem.
4. Checked my Swish image to make certain it was linking to the right page.
5. Cursed. Didn't help.

Thanks in advance.

Is the page Home.htm in your nav view
- you can only have one home page per web/subweb and if index.htm (w/ you splash page ) is your home page, navigation on home.htm
can not be based on the home page
