Link Bar Text Not showing up when page is published

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me resolve this matter.

I’m using FP2003 to edit our existing webpage. I changed the style of the
link buttons, leaving everything else at default. I previewed the page and it
shows up fine. But when I published it the buttons appear and the only button
with text in it is the home button. If I hover my cursor over the other
buttons the balloon pops up with the link name (or what should be listed on
the button). the links work fine, but its extremely annoying.

When I went back into link bar properties Child Pages under home is
selected. If I try to change it to anything else I end up losing my link bar
back to the default (Add to navigation blah blah...)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance.

If you are not using the default theme the custom nav bar styles require a host running the FP 2002 SE
