Jet engine can't find object "Databases"

Hello,

I have two Access 97 databases that when I try to open I recieve the error:
The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object "databases".

I can only run repair on one of these the other receives the same error.

What can I do to fix this?

See if this will help. Right off-hand, it sounds as if it may be the DAO
reference.
