Could not find MSysACEs

Following a crash while using one of out Microsoft Access databases, the
following message appears everytime we try to open it.

"The Microsoft Jet Database engine could not find the object 'MSysACEs'.
Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and path name
correctly."

Any idea how I can reinstall, repair locate this file again? Other Access
databases run fine from the same PC, and the error message appears on other
machines if you try to open the database.

This is Office 97 running on a Windows 98 machine.

Many thanks

Martin

Hi also,

Try to create a new database and import all the object of your broken
database.
Also, try to repair your database with JetComp (you can download this one on
the microsoft website)

Arnaud has given you the basic things to try.

For more information on corruption including possible causes,
determining the offending PC, retrieving your data, links, official MS

Thanks, however both those options fail. If I try and import the objects I
simply get the same error message, similarly when trying to run Jetcomp.
