Irfanview question.

Paul

When I cycle through a folder of images with Irfanview, why is it that it
reports coming to the end of the folder? I know there are more images added
later to the folder. How do I configure Irfanview to show all. (
Incidentally all images are jag type). I am using Widows XP.

Hit F5 and it'll re-read the folder.

maybe the files are named with numbers, i.e.

1.jpg
2.jpg
....
9.jpg
10.jpg
11.jpg

windows sorts them numerically as shown above, but IView uses a
lexical sorting, that is:

1.jpg
10.jpg
11.jpg
2.jpg
3.jpg

Now if you double click a file that gets sortet first in the explorer,
it might not be on the same ranking in IView. You can see in the
toolbar, which image you are looking at (i.e. 7/15 the seventh of
fifteen pictures).

* Go to [Properties]
* Click on the [Misc. 1] tab
* Make sure there are check marks by:

[View all files in directory (moving/browsing through directory +
thumbnails)]

and

[If the end/begin of the folder is reached: Loop current folder (during
browsing)]

* click [ok]

This should fix the problem
