My router suddenly took a dump or so I thought so I bought a new one. They both say no internet. I can plug my computer directly in the box on the wall and get internet but from the wall to the router it says no internet. Called the router company and he tells me my ip address is being attacked and it needs to be secured wanting me to pay $350. It worked fine and then suddenly stopped. I'm not a computer guru but it doesn't make sense why the router to the wall will not work.

Who did you call about this, as it sounds like it may be a scam! What model router do you have?

I would check with your ISP and Modem logs to see if its firmware was updated, this may have made changes preventing your router from connecting correctly.

Try doing factory reset. There is a pin hole on the side. Poke a paper clip and hold a few seconds with power on. Then set it up again. Note down set up.
