internet explorer hangs up

as soon as i connect to the internet, internet explorer
hangs up and stalls for several minutes. it then clicks
in, then hangs up again. over and over.
i tried using netscape, and the problem does not occur
with that browser. unfortunatly, i don't like netscape.
how can i fix this problem? i have the same problem if i
use modem, high speed, or different internet servers.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
